Flashlight Consulting is a Seattle-based consultancy that grew out of a recognition that nonprofit organizations were struggling to cover their costs while many of their best assets remained hidden. Flashlight draws on a network of experts around the world in data security, licensing, marketing, and digital tool development.

The firm was founded by William Heisel, an experienced global development leader and social entrepreneur. Heisel leads a social enterprise to engage with the private sector to support global health innovation. Over his career, he has secured significant philanthropic donations and helped found lasting institutions, including the Hans Rosling Center for Population Health and the Roux Prize, one of global health’s highest honors.
